Milestone 3

Milestone 3

Achievement:
1. We built a map for our game.
2. We installed two set of IR localization systems on the ceiling.
3. We put IR camera sensor on the tank.
4. Our tank is able to move according to the IR localization system.



The video shows our tank moves according to the IR localization system.
The tank first find the desired angle, and then moves to the destination. It repeated this action to go to the final destination.
In the video, we made the tank stopped there for switching IR localization system(we have two sets), which is our next milestone.

Milestone 2

Milestone 2

Achievement:

1. We set up IR sensor as localization system on the ceiling ( Figure 1). We have four groups of IR sensors, and each of them has four IR LED sensors.

2. We are using Wii IR camera to sense the location (Figure 2). Now, we put Will IR camera sensor on the breadboard for test, but we will put this on the 3pi robot after test.


3. We are able to read the data and reorganize it into x-y coordinate (Figure 3).

 Next Step:
- Installing IR camera sensors on 3pi robot.
- Making 3pi robot run according to the localization system.

Milestone 1

Milestone 1


Milestone 1:
1. Make the 3pi robot run.
2. Successfully build a simple wireless communication using 2 XBEE.
3. Using XBEE and mbed to build a wireless joystick controller.
4.Successfully control 3pi robot via wireless joystick controller.
